Anonymous asked: You're making me want to do color blocks too! I remember you saying you use the polygonal lasso tool for them?? Is it easier to use the tool than to hand draw them?? It looks like you can make more interesting forms with them. :)
I do use the polygonal lasso tool! For me personally, it just makes things quicker - it helps me just to focus on shape and color. I also prefer turning anti-alias off, and getting a hard line!
I say use whatever’s easiest for you - brush tool and all, soft line and all!
Hi there! A while ago, I wrote a little spiel about what color blocks are all about! You can block in your outfits, but why not also food, or um chapstick!

"I hope you all got a lot out of doing these color blocks! The idea of the project was to create a graphic description of the colors and shapes that you choose for yourself everyday.
While many of us may not think we consider color too much in our lives, the reality is that color is a very present deciding factor in how we choose to define ourselves.
My idea of the color blocks was to create a collection (or grid) of what kind of colors and shapes we choose for ourselves, and eventually, create a self portrait based on decisions, rather than appearance.
I thought that maybe when we do these color blocks, we’ll start to see a greater picture of how we uniquely experience color, and how we view ourselves as individuals.”
daily color blocks, again!
You all should join in, if ya wanna! Just tag your post with #daily color block! it’s super cool to see what everyone’s colors look like during the week!
